Rainy morning, gusty and cool afternoon

TODAY: Showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two will move through this morning into this afternoon. There is a marginal risk for severe storms to develop in the eastern portions of Monroe, Audrain and Montgomery counties, with main severe threats being large hail and gusty winds. Skies will clear with a chilly, windy afternoon as temperatures drop through the day, falling into the low 40s by 1 PM. Northwesterly winds at 14-22 mph will gust as high as 45 mph at times. A wind advisory is in effect until 6 PM this evening.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies will give way to a chilly night with overnight lows bottoming out in in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Northwesterly winds will diminish between 6-10 mph.

EXTENDED: It will still be a chilly morning Sunday with lows starting out in the upper 20s and highs in the upper 40s. Next week will start off mostly sunny, dry, and seasonal as temperatures reach into the low to mid 50s for highs. Another cold front will cool us back into the low 40s Wednesday, but a warming trend is expected for Thanksgiving through Friday with dry conditions. Next week looks dry, which will help out any holiday travel plans. Watch ABC17 news for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
