Rain, gusty winds and falling temperatures

TONIGHT: A cold front dropping into the area will give an increased chance for showers and thunderstorms overnight. Nothing will be severe. Southerly winds will switch to the northwest by morning under mostly cloudy skies with temperatures only dropping into the mid to upper 40s by morning.

SATURDAY: Showers will linger through Saturday morning, with the best chance north of I-70 and east of HWY 63. Skies will clear with a chilly, windy afternoon as temperatures drop through the day, falling into the low 40s by 5 PM . Northwesterly winds at 15-24 mph will gust as high as 40 mph at times on Saturday.

EXTENDED: The wind will diminish Sunday but it will still be chilly with morning lows in the upper 20s and highs in the upper 40s. Next week will start off mostly sunny, dry, and seasonal as temperatures reach into the low to mid 50s for highs. Another cold front will cool us back into the low 40s Wednesday, but a warming trend is expected for Thanksgiving through Friday with dry conditions. Next week looks dry, which will help out any holiday travel plans. Watch ABC17 news for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
