Troopers honor man for his actions in helping apprehend suspect accused of killing police officer

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers made Raymond Fitzwater a honorary trooper for his actions apprehending Ian McCarthy.

McCarthy is accused of shooting and killing Clinton Police Officer Gary Michael on Oct. 6 following a traffic stop.

According to public court records, McCarthy has a criminal setting scheduled for Friday in Henry County.
