Michael Porter Jr. out against Utah with injury
COLUMBIA – Michael Porter Jr. is out for tonight’s game against Utah with a leg injury.
A spokesperson for the team said, “Mizzou’s Michael Porter, Jr. is out for tonight’s game at Utah and did not travel. His status will be reevaluated next week. Further updates will not be available until that time.”
Porter did not travel with the team on its flight to Salt Lake City for the Tigers’ game against Utah. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
Porter played just two minutes and scored two points against Iowa State on Nov. 10. He reportedly tweaked something in his leg at the beginning of the game and told Cuonzo Martin to take him out of the game. Porter did not return ot the game and sat on the bench with an ice pack on his leg.
Porter also did not play against Wagner Monday Nov. 13. He remained in the locker room and did not watch the game in the bench area. A MU spokesperson said it was easier on Porter’s leg to remain in the locker room.
Mizzou guard Blake Harris is probable to play with a leg injury. He suffered the injury while driving to the basket in the first half against Wagner Monday, Nov. 13.
