Moniteau County deputies arrest man at gunpoint, say suspect threw gun
Moniteau County deputies arrested Gregorio Perez, 44, on Sunday after officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance.
Deputies said Perez had reportedly discharged a firearm at the house before officers arrived on scene.
Deputies said when they got on scene, they found Perez in the backyard of the house. Perez was found with a gun on him, officers said.
Deputies said they had to take Perez into custody at gunpoint because he had thrown his firearm.
Officers said that while they were attempting to take Perez into custody, he assaulted and resisted two deputies.
Perez was taken to the Moniteau County Jail and faces possible charges of unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and assault.
