Moberly man arrested after fleeing from police, crashing into a residence, police say

A 42-year-old man is facing several charges after allegedly crashing his car into a home early Sunday morning, Moberly police said.

Police said that while Shawn Reese was driving intoxicated, he allegedly fled from officers, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an occupied residence in the 300 block of McKinsey Street.

No one inside the residence was injured, but the home sustained major damage, police said.

The driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment, and then transferred to the Randolph County Justice Center, police said.

Police said the man was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license, resisting arrest by fleeing and creating a substantial risk, driving while intoxicated, possession of methamphetamine and resisting and interfering with the arrest.
