Washington and Pinkel host ‘One Step Forward’ at Douglass High School

Former Mizzou football coach Gary Pinkel and former Mizzou wide out L’Damian Washington hosted ‘One Step Forward,’ on Monday at Douglass High School.

Pinkel and Washington both gave motivational speeches to the high school students. You can hear what Washington had to say here:

At the end of the event, Washington surprised the students announcing each of them would receive T-Shirts and Nike sneakers. You can watch the surprise here:

ZOUNation hosted the event, along with Douglass High School, Academy Sports and Missouri Employers Mutual.

A release says Coach Pinkel and L’Damian will both continue to stay connected with these students. There will be a six-week soft-skills and development course offered to each of the students at Douglass High School.
