Boonville man charged with trying to entice minor in Miller County
A Boonville man has been charged with enticement or attempted enticement of a child and second degree harassment after attempting to kidnap a minor in the parking lot of the Dollar General at 854 Highway 42 in Iberia.
On Aug. 22, dispatch reported a possible child abduction at the Dollar General. The victim said that Derek Bruce, 23, approached her and told her he had a puppy inside of his truck.
Bruce allegedly put his hands over her eyes and grabbed her by the wrist. The victim was able to kick Bruce and run home. The victim later identified Bruce in a lineup.
