Temperatures are warmer today, but winds will make it feel cooler
WEDNESDAY: The morning commute will be another chilly one. Temperatures will be above freezing, but a southeasterly breeze will create wind chills in the upper 20s under mostly clear skies. Clouds will increase this morning leading to a mostly cloudy sky, but it will be slightly warmer with highs in the low to mid 50s. However, southeast winds will increase to 15 mph today, gusting up to 25 mph, making it feel cooler. We could see a few light sprinkles by this afternoon and evening as the warm front lifts north.
TONIGHT: Skies will stay mostly cloudy tonight with a wind remaining of the south up to 7 mph. This will allow for overnight lows to only drop into the low 50s. As temps drop towards the dew point we could see patchy fog develop for the morning commute.
EXTENDED: The warming trend continues into Thursday as we reach the mid to upper 60s with mostly cloudy skies. There is a slight shower chance Thursday as another cold front moves through, but most areas will stay dry. Cooler air settles in briefly Friday with high temperatures in the upper 50s. Heading into the weekend, the warming trend resumes as a warm front moves north and we’ll jump into the lower 60s Saturday and mid to upper 70s Sunday with a slight chance of showers Saturday morning. The best chance of showers looks to be north of I-70 Saturday morning. A better chance of widespread showers and t-storms moves in Sunday night into Monday as another cold front moves through.
