Pettis County deputies arrest man accused of trafficking methamphetamine

Pettis County deputies arrested Gary Meyer after officers received information that Meyer was traveling outside the county to pick up large amounts of methamphetamine and bring it back to Pettis for the purpose of processing and selling.

According to the probable cause statement, the informant told officers the informant had heard Meyer admit to traveling outside the county to pick up methamphetamine to sell and observed Meyer to be in possession of the drug.

On Sunday, Meyer was pulled over by deputies. Deputies said when they made contact with Meyer, he showed officers a marijuana plant.

Deputies said they found methamphetamine, a set of digital scales and $1,558 on Meyer.

Deputies said they searched Meyer’s car and found plastic baggies and another set of digital scales.

Meyers told deputies the methamphetamine officers found was for his personal use, and he had the scales to prevent himself from getting ripped off.

Deputies said found more than 30 grams of methamphetamine.

Meyers was arrested and charged with trafficking drugs or attempt, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
