Police arrest woman accused of breaking into a hotel room and stealing property

Columbia police arrested Tiffany Jackson on Sunday morning after officers were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn in reference to a burglary.

Police said Jackson, who had already been issued a trespass warning from the business, entered the Red Roof Inn and entered a room while the victim was away.

Officers said when the victim returned to his room, some of his property, including money, was missing.

Jackson began sending the victim text messages with pictures of his property, and when police arrived on scene, she continued to send the victim messages asking why he called law enforcement, police said.

Jackson was arrested and faces possible charges of burglary, stealing and harassment.
