Man charged with resisting arrest after troopers attempted to pull him over, driving 98 mph

Robert Turco has been charged with resisting arrest, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, exceeding the posted speed limit and operating a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner after a pursuit on Oct. 21, troopers said.

According to the probable cause statement, troopers began the pursuit with Turco on U.S. 50.

Troopers said Turco traveled up to 98 mph in a 60mph zone and swerved into oncoming traffic.

Troopers said they discovered Turco had recently been involved in two separate crashes in Sedalia.

Prior to the pursuit, multiple witnesses called 911 stating a vehicle matching the description of the one driven by Turco was driving at high rate of speed, troopers said.

Turco was eventually arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail.
