Howard County woman charged with negligent burning, accused of setting belongings on fire

The Howard County prosecuting attorney has charged Rachel Scott with negligent burning after an incident in September.

According to court documents, Scott caused damage to the victim’s personal belongings by putting them in a trash bag near some railroad tracks and starting a fire.

Scott could be punished by up to 15 days in jail and a fine of up to $750.
