TRAFFIC ALERT: One I-70 westbound lane closed near mile marker 130 for vehicle collision

UPDATE 1:00 p.m: Police said the crash involved a semi truck, SUV and a passenger vehicle.

Officers said the crash happened when traffic began to slow down on I-70 and a semi truck did not have enough time to react, crashing into the passenger vehicle which then crashed into the SUV.

One person had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, police said.

ORIGINAL: MODOT is warning drivers to avoid I-70 westbound near the Lake of the Woods exit after a vehicle collision Thursday afternoon.

According to public dispatch records, the crash happened at 11:20 a.m.

There are more than six emergency vehicles on scene.

MODOT said westbound delays are likely for the next hour.
