Ashley Judd speaks publicly about Weinstein allegations

On Thursday, Ashley Judd spoke publicly for the first time since a New York Times article came out with allegations Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her.

Since the article came out, roughly 50 women have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct.

The latest accusation comes from a Norwegian-born actress who said Weinstein barged into her New York hotel and raped her in 2008, nearly 10 years ago.

As this has gone on and more and more celebrities are talking about their own experience with the movie producer, there have been others getting accused as well. ‘

On Wednesday, five women accused journalist Mark Halperin of sexual harassment.

He released a statement that said he did pursue relationships with women that he worked with, but denied any inappropriate touching.

Judd’s accusations have seemingly created a way for women to open up about their own experiences, the most notable possibly being the recent “me too” hashtag on social media started by Alyssa Milano.
