Arrest warrant issued for former Camden County deputy accused of child molestation
An arrest warrant was issued for former Camden County deputy Leonard Wilson on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the warrant, Wilson is wanted for possession of child pornography, child molestation, furnishing pornographic materials to minors and stalking.
According to a complaint filed, Wilson knowing possessed child pornography that showed a person younger than 18 engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The special prosecuting attorney of Camden County also believes Wilson committed child molestation by subjecting a minor to sexual contact by touching her through her clothing.
In July 2017, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office forwarded information to the State Technical Assistance Team reference improprieties discovered at the time of Wilson’s termination with the county.
Information was turned over to S.T.A.T. to further conduct the investigation.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Wilson is not in custody.
