Lincoln University student accused of stealing a computer and camera from the school

Lincoln University police arrested Leron Moore after officers received a report of a Dell laptop computer being stolen from a building on campus.

According to the probable cause statement, officers also discovered that a camera and other equipment were missing, with a total value of over $750.

Police said that on Oct. 13, they were notified that a Dell laptop with a matching serial number was sold to Family Pawn. The computer was sold by Moore, police said.

On Oct. 14, officers located Moore at a Lincoln University football game as a photographer for the Clarion News.

Police said Moore admitted to taking the laptop because his family needed money; he also admitted to taking the camera a week earlier.

Moore has been charged with stealing.
