Columbia man charged with robbery and resisting arrest, accused of stealing more than $900

Columbia police arrested Keon Jordan after a victim told officers Jordan had robbed him.

According to the probable cause statement, Jordan had thrown acorns and other things at the victim at Douglas Park.

Police said at one point, Jordan swung at the victim and then pushed him to the ground and continued to kick him.

The victim told police Jordan and two other suspects stole several pieces of property valued at $930.

Police said they saw an abrasion on the victim’s cheek and right forehead and a swollen knot on the back left side of his head.

Police said on Saturday they saw Jordan near downtown Columbia, but he was able to run away from officers.

Officers said a few hours later they saw Jordan again and attempted to stop him, he ran away but eventually gave up.

Jordan was charged with robbery and resisting arrest.
