Teenager charged after police investigate shots heard on Hardin Street
UPDATE: 10:45 a.m.: A Columbia teen has been charged after police investigate shots heard on Hardin Street.
Davion Manns has been charged with stealing and “unlawful possession, transport, manufacture, repeair or sale of an illegal weapon.”
His bond is set at $30,000 with the condition Manns not possess any firearms or weapons.
ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested a teenager who is accused of stealing, possession of a controlled substance, and a possession of weapons charge.
According to police, officers were sent to the area of Hardin Street at Mikel Street for a shots heard call early Sunday morning.
On scene, officers found multiple shell casings in the 1000 block of Hardin.
While investigating, officers learned after the shots were fired, three people were seen running into a nearby home. After the officers made several attempts to make contact with the people inside, two females opened the door.
While inside the residence, officers made contact with Davion Manns, who lived at the home.
Officers say they saw a marijuana blunt cigar on the table. After searching the home, officers say they found a backpack with a stolen gun and a loaded magazine.
Manns is a convicted felon. He was arrested at 3 a.m. Sunday.
