Columbia man accused of sodomy, assault

A Columbia man is in the Boone County Jail, facing possible charges after being accused of assault, sodomy and armed criminal action.

According to Columbia police, officers were sent to an assault at the Budget Host Inn on Vandiver Drive Friday night.

Officers say a female victim reported Dominick Roland “held a knife to her while he touched, rubbed, kissed and performed oral sex on her without her permission.” Police say the victim told them the knife was about 8 inches long.

The victim had multiple numerous bruises and bike marks on her right shoulder area. Medics on scene also told officer the victim may have broken her nose.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area and arrested Dominick Roland for armed criminal action, assault, sodomy and unlawful use of weapons, among other misdemeanor charges.
