Another cold front to bring windy and cool conditions to Mid-Missouri
MONDAY: It’s a fairly seasonable day across Mid-Missouri, as temperatures are making a run into the 60s for the afternoon hours. Through lunchtime it will be rather quiet across Mid-Missouri ahead of an approaching cold front. The frontal boundary will track through Mid-Missouri and bring with it some very gusty winds. Winds will shift from the southwest out of the northwest, with sustained winds anywhere from 10-20 mph and gusts as high as 27.
TONIGHT: Winds will stay breezy through the overnight hours as they remain out of the NW up to 17 mph. This will allow it to be another chilly night across Mid-Missouri as temperatures bottom out in the low 40s under clear skies.
EXTENDED: Another cold front will bring cooler air in for Tuesday with high temperatures only reaching the low to mid 50s with breezy conditions. Winds will be out of the northwest up to 14 mph hour, with gust as high as 30 mph. This will allow for temperatures to drop into the upper 30s on Tuesday night. It’s possible that if the winds die down enough through the night Tuesday we could see our first widespread frost. Wednesday will feel like fall as high temperatures only reach the lower 60s. After warming back ito near 70 Thursday, another cold front moves in Friday bringing drastically cooler temperatures. This weekend will be the coldest air of the season with highs in the 40s and overnight lows in the upper 20s and lower 30s.
