Police investigate armed robbery at auto parts store in south Columbia

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing an O’Reilly Auto Parts store at gunpoint Saturday night.

Officers were called to the store on Cooper Drive around 8:32 p.m.

Police said a man wearing a mask showed a gun and demanded money. He left the store on foot before police arrived.

A K9 was brought in to try to track down the suspect, but was unsuccessful.

The employee wasn’t hurt.

Anyone with information on the armed robbery is asked to call the Columbia Police Department or CrimeStoppers at 875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
