Lingering showers Sunday, the return of fall-like temperatures

TODAY: Lingering showers are possible across Mid-Missouri throughout the morning. Cloudy skies will slowly give way to some peaks of sunshine into the afternoon. Afternoon temperatures will hover in the lower 60s with winds out of the northwest between 7-10 mph.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows return back into the lower 40s, feeling more seasonal this evening. Northerly winds near 5 mph will become calm overnight under mostly clear skies.

EXTENDED: The work week will start with seasonal temperatures as we climb to near 70 on Monday but another cold front brings cooler air in for Tuesday with high temperature only reaching the mid to upper 50s with breezy conditions, dropping into the upper 30s to near 40 on Tuesday night. Wednesday will feel like fall as high temperatures only reach the lower 60s. After warming back in into the 70s Thursday, another cold front moves in Friday bringing our next better chance of rain and much cooler air, leaving us in the lower 50s Friday and down into the lower 30s Friday night with possible frost early next weekend.
