Troopers respond to a multi-vehicle crash involving a Freightliner, man suffers serious injuries

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a multi-vehicle collision on Tuesday night in Saline County.

According to the traffic crash report, troopers responded to the eastbound lanes of I-70 at the 75 mile-marker for the crash.

Troopers said the crash happened when a 2013 Hyundai was attempting to pass a Freightliner.

Troopers said the 2013 Hyundai struck the rear of a 2009 Hyundai causing both vehicles to travel into the median.

The Freightliner traveled to the shoulder of the highway, troopers said.

The driver of the 2009 Hyundai, Edith Price, 26, sustained moderate injuries from the crash and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

The passenger of the 2009 Hyundai, Treestone Cimino, 40, sustained serious injuries from the crash and was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Both Hyundais were totaled. The Freightliner had moderate damage.
