Web Extra: Mizzou and Michael Porter Jr ‘Mania’ sweeping SEC Media Days
NASHVILLE – Michael Porter Jr. shocked media members by saying he may not be a ‘one and done’ player and returned for a second year. He said if the Tigers do not accomplish their goals, then he may consider it. Porter did not elaborate on what those “goals” were, but he added that he is serious even though “many do not believe him.”

Kevin Puryear, Cuonzo Martin and Porter Jr. drew large crowds during SEC Media Day as preseason polls predicted the Tigers to finish fifth in the SEC. The polls also had Porter on the All SEC first team.
Head coach Cuonzo Martin says Porter is one of the most talented players he coach and says his defensive play separates him. He said Porter is a complete play, which is rare at his age.
