Moniteau deputies arrest two, accused of having 325 grams of methamphetamine

Moniteau deputies arrested William Crabtree and Kyra Hankey on Tuesday after officers received information that a suspicious vehicle was parked in a field just east of Tipton.

Deputies said they were notified the vehicle had left the field and was found in an apartment complex inside Tipton.

Deputies said officers made contact with three subjects by the vehicle.

A K-9 unit was deployed on the vehicle, the dog gave a positive search of the vehicle and a large amount of methamphetamine was found.

Deputies said the approximate weight of the methamphetamine was 325 grams with a street value of over $30,000.

Crabtree and Hankey were arrested and face possible charges of drug trafficking.

Both have a bond of $250,000.
