Moberly police arrest man accused of incest, rape, abuse or neglect of a child

UPDATE 3:55 p.m: According to the probable cause statement, Sheets committed the crimes back in 2015 to a family member.

Moberly police said the victim told officers that Sheets forced her to perform sexual acts on him multiple times.

The victim told police on one particular night Sheets attempted to take the victim’s pants off but the victim was able to keep them on and run away from Sheets.

Police said when they spoke with Sheets he denied having any sort of sexual contact with the victim.

ORIGINAL STORY: Moberly police arrested Carl Sheets, 38, on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police said Sheets was charged with sodomy, incest, statutory rape, endangering the welfare of a child, rape or attempted rape, endangering the welfare of a child, abuse or neglect of a child, statutory sodomy, domestic assault, and unlawful use of a weapon.

Sheets is currently at the Randolph County Jail with a bond of $500,000 cash only.
