Mizzou Homecoming weekend forecast

Friday night kicks of the 106th annual homecoming weekend for the University of Missouri. It’s looking like a great weekend to enjoy all homecoming festivities, starting on Friday night with house decorations and the spirit rally. Friday evening, temperatures will be mild in the 60s with increasing clouds.

Into Saturday, we will continue to see warm temperatures with partly cloudy skies. For the morning hours, Columbia could see a few light sprinkles. However, the majority of Saturday looks dry and partly sunny. Around kickoff at 11 AM temperatures will already be in the low 70s, topping out into the upper 70s as we close out the game.

Into Saturday evening, we will start to see an increasing storm chance. A cold front will track into mid-Missouri bringing a non-severe storms into the area after 6 PM and through the overnight hours. These storms could produce some heavy downpours, but will not provide a severe threat. Some places could see in excess of 1.5″ of rain. This is something to keep in mind if you are continuing homecoming celebrations Saturday night or traveling home. Rain will be out of the area by Sunday morning, followed by cooler conditions.
