Columbia police find shell casing in east Columbia

Columbia police were dispatched to the 3500 block of I-70 Drive Southeast on Tuesday evening for reports of shots heard in the area.

Police said when they got to the scene, they found a shell casing in the area.

Officers said their initial investigation leads them to believe that occupants of two vehicles fired shots at each other.

Police said there have been no reported victims in the incident.

Officers said the investigation is on-going.
