Two arrested after meth found in Audrain County home where children were living

Two adults have been charged after deputies with the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department, officers with the Mexico Public Safety Department and a trooper with the Missouri State Highway Patrol executed a narcotics search warrant at the 1000 block of Harwood Street in Mexico.

Timothy Lawson told officers that there was methamphetamine in the home and showed them a glass smoking device.

According to official documents, officers also found a plastic baggie with three grams of meth, a metal scale powder scoop, a scale calibration weight, a digital weight measurement scale and a plastic baggie that was used to package illegal substances.

Lawson was arrested and taken to Audrain County Jail, where he told officers he used and sold meth. Lawson said the meth found in the home was his and it was delivered a short time before officers arrived. Two children were also found living in the home with Lawson and Bealmear.

Lawson and Bealmear have both been charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a public nuisance, endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana
