Slow warming, weekend rain & cooler air

TONIGHT: We’ll have another cool, quiet night. A light southerly breeze will keep lows in the upper 40s as skies remain clear.

WEDNESDAY: The great fall weather continues as we’ll start off cool and end up with a mild afternoon. High temperatures will reach the lower 70s as southerly winds increase to 13 mph in the afternoon under mostly sunny skies.

EXTENDED: We will have a slow warming trend through the week with high temperatures reaching the upper 70s by Friday and nights warming into the 50s. We’ll have passing clouds Friday but it will remain dry until the weekend. Heading into Saturday, we have a slight chance of morning showers mainly along and west of HWY 63. The better chance of rain moves in Saturday after 7 PM from the west as a cold front approaches. Showers and t-storms will increase Saturday evening and overnight. While no severe weather is expected, heavy rain will be possible Saturday evening into Sunday with the potential for localized flooding. Rainfall amounts of .50″ to 1.0″ are likely with up to 1.50″ possible. Temperatures will reach the upper 70s ahead of the cold front Saturday, dropping into the upper 60s Sunday as cooler air moves in.Rain moves out by early Sunday morning, leaving us with a dry and mild day.
