Beautiful fall afternoon across Mid-Missouri

TODAY: After some morning clouds across Mid-Missouri sunny skies have returned. Thanks to southerly winds up to 14 mph, we’ll see highs climb into the lower 70s. Low humidity and mild conditions will make it feel amazing for a fall afternoon.

TONIGHT: As southerly winds continue to stream into Mid-Missouri, we’ll see a gradual warming trend. Lows tonight will bottom out in the upper 40s, with winds remaining steady out of the south up to 9 mph.

EXTENDED: We will have a slow warming trend through the work week with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s by Friday and nights warming into the lower 50s. The entire work week will remain dry with our next chance of rain holding off until late Saturday evening as another cold front drops into the area. While no severe weather is likely, heavy rain will be possible Saturday evening into Sunday with the potential for localized flooding. Temperatures will reach the upper 70s ahead of the cold front Saturday, dropping into the upper 60s Sunday as cooler air moves in.
