Cole County police deputies arrest man accused of stealing and possession of marijuana

Bryson T. Skinner, 21, is in custody after a break-in this Saturday.

A burglary alarm at Goldstar Recycling in Cole County triggered a police call at about 4:09 pm on Saturday, October 14. Deputies said they found the back door of the building open and Skinner inside.

He was taken into custody and transported to Cole County Jail without incident, deputies said.

After arresting him, deputies said they found a small amount of marijuana on Skinner. Apparently, this was not his first drug offense, nor burglary — he has been arrested on charges for both crimes in the past.

Skinner has been charged with second-degree burglary and possession of marijuana.

His bond has been set at $5,000 for the burglary charge and $500 for possession.
