12-year-old seriously hurt in ATV crash at Finger Lakes State Park

A Sedalia boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries Saturday afternoon after crashing an ATV at Finger Lakes State Park in northern Boone County.

The crash happened around 4:30, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report. Troopers said the boy lost control of the ATV and it overturned.

He was taken to University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The Boone County Fire Protection District and Boone Hospital Center Ambulance responded to the scene.
