Second person accused of Dick’s Sporting Goods theft arrested

Columbia police arrested a second person they say was involved with stealing hundreds of dollars of merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods.

According to police, Bryce Sadler worked with his ex-girlfriend, Morgan Shamhart, to steal $800 worth of merchandise in September.

The loss prevention manager for the store told police Sadler would come into the store, select merchandise and take it to the counter his ex-girlfriend, Morgan Shamhart, was working.

The manager said Shamhart would ring up the merchandise then void it so Sadler would not have to pay for the items.

The manager said this happened on Sept. 27 with a total value of $469.98 and Sept. 29 with a total value of $404.78

Sadler and Shamhart were arrested on suspicion of felony stealing.
