Crisp fall night for Mid-Missouri, with potential for fog

TONIGHT: It will be a crisp fall night across Mid-Missouri under partly cloudy skies. High pressure to our west will begin to shift east and calm winds through the night. Calm winds in conjunction with low level moisture from the recent rain will allow for the potential for fog development. Temperatures tonight will bottom out near 50 degrees.

THURSDAY: Following a few days of cool fall weather, summer officially begins to make a comeback. After a cool start to the day, winds will shift around out of the south and begin a slow warming trend. Highs will top out in the low to mid-70s, under mostly sunny skies. Despite the southerly winds, humidity will remain on the low side.

EXTENDED: Summer-like weather returns Friday and Saturday as we climb into the mid 80s. As a cold front moves into northern Missouri Saturday, it will increase shower and thunderstorms chances for areas north of I-70 during the day. We will have to watch for the possibility of strong to severe storms late in the day Saturday north of Interstate 70. As this front moves south Saturday night, a line of showers and storms will push south through Sunday morning, moving out during early afternoon. Along with the rain chance Sunday, cooler air will move in keeping our high temperatures in the lower 70s on Sunday. The work week will start mild and dry with high temperatures near 70.
