Man charged with harassment and sexual misconduct, accused of exposing himself at gas station
Boonville police arrested Robert Gerke after he was accused of exposing himself to a woman in a Casey’s parking lot.
According to the probable cause statement, Gerke pulled his vehicle next to the victim’s car and engaged in conversation.
Police said during the conversation, Gerke exposed himself to the woman.
Police said the victim told officers she felt offended by the incident and left the area.
The victim told officers she looked up sexual offenders in the Boonville area and found Gerke’s photo. The victim said she was sure it was Gerke who exposed himself, police said.
Officers went to Gerke’s residence and he was transported to the Booneville Police Department.
Police said when they interrogated Gerke, he admitted to being at Casey’s and talking with a woman.
Gerke allegedly told officers he was wearing an artificial penis while talking to the victim and it could have been exposed at the time of the conversation.
Police said Gerke has several prior convictions of sexual misconduct.
