Deputies arrest Callaway County woman, accused of endangering welfare of child

Callaway County deputies arrested Rhonda Becker after they were called to the 8000 block of State Road D for reports of a missing 4-year-old child.

Deputies said it was reported the child was last seen more than a hour ago prior to the call to the Sheriff’s Department.

Several officers responded and an investigation began.

Deputies said when they were at the residence, they noticed Becker was intoxicated.

Becker was the person who called about the missing child and was the caregiver for the child at the time of the incident, deputies said.

Deputies said during the search they contacted family members and learned a relative had stopped by the residence earlier, found Becker passed out and took custody of the child.

Deputies said they were able to locate the child and saw that they were safe.

Becker was arrested on suspicion of endangering the welfare of a child and taken to the Callaway County Jail.
