Soggy weather the next few days
TONIGHT: It will be another mild and muggy night across Mid-Missouri for October standards. Temperatures will bottom out in the mid 60s under overcast skies, with on and off showers through the night as a warm front lifts to the north across the region. It’s likely that fog will develop across Mid-Missouri in areas where rain isn’t falling, which will lead to low visibility through the morning hours Thursday as winds shift to the south up to 6 mph.
THURSDAY: Some showers are possible Thursday morning as a warm front continues to lift to the north. These will be numerous in the afternoon north of I-70 with a lower chance south as high temperatures reach the mid to upper 70s. Winds will come in from the south up to 10 mph.
EXTENDED: Friday will be warmer with high temperatures near 80. There is a chance of rain mainly north of I-70 in the morning, drying in the afternoon as temperatures rise. Another line of showers and t-storms will move in Friday night as a cold front moves through. A majority of the activity will remain in our northwestern counties. Severe weather looks unlikely, but heavy rain with amounts up to 3 inches are possible by early Saturday morning north of I-70 with 1-2″ farther south. As the front continues to push south, expect for lingering showers Saturday morning, ending by noon. Saturday afternoon looks dry with increasing sunshine with highs reaching the mid 70s, climbing to near 80 Sunday. Another chances of showers and storms arrives Monday, followed by some of the coolest air so far this season.
