Crash on I-70 near the connector leaves UPS truck on side

A rush hour traffic crash temporarily shut down I-70, just east of the connector in Columbia Wednesday night.

A UPS cargo truck was carrying a second cab that flipped onto its side when it crashed around 5:20 p.m.

Emergency responders said about 20 gallons of paint spilled in the crash. A hazardous materials team was requested before the paint was identified.

UPDATE, 7:20 p.m.: After more than two hours, the vehicle has been flipped up on all four wheels.

ORIGINAL: A crash on I-70 near the connector on Wednesday has flipped a UPS truck on its side.

ABC 17 crews are on scene and can see multiple emergency units on scene, including fire crews and the Columbia Police Department.

The UPS truck is still on its side.
