Victim dies after September assault at Lake of the Ozark’s campground
The Lake of the Ozark Police department said the victim of a September assault has died from his injuries.
The victim, Mark Johnson, 55, succumbed to stab wounds and severe head trauma injuries on Friday.
On September 22, Lake of the Ozark’s police department responded to an assault at the campgrounds below the dam.
Police said when they arrived, they saw an unconscious man, not breathing, tied to the rear of a jeep.
Police arrested John Powell for assault and armed criminal action.
