Mizzou football dismisses Dimetrios Mason
COLUMBIA – Mizzou football dismissed wide receiver Dimetrios Mason from the team due to disciplinary reasons.
Gabe DeArmond of PowerMizzou.com and Dave Matter of the St. Louis Post Dispatch first reported the news.
Mason had 13 catches for Mizzou during the 2017 season and has caught 60 passes for 706 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games at Mizzou. He began as a cornerback for Mizzou, but the team switched him to wide receiver in 2016. Mason earned the starting job late during the 2016 season.
This season, Mason split snaps with Emanuel Hall who missed most of the Purdue game due to a shoulder injury suffered in the first half.
With the dismissal of Mason, receivers like Hall, Dominic Collins and Richaud Floyd will likely see more playing time in a passing game that has scored just three touchdowns in the team’s last three games.
Mizzou’s next game will be Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. on the road against Kentucky,
