Picture perfect weekend ahead

TODAY: The mild weather continues this afternoon with high temperatures in the upper 70s under mostly sunny skies. For Sports Zone Football Friday, temperatures will be in the low 70s for kickoff and cooling into the mid 60s by the end of the fourth quarter.

TONIGHT: Temperatures will return to the low 50s under mostly clear skies. Winds will turn out of the northeast up to 6 mph.

EXTENDED: Saturday and Sunday look to remain pleasant, mild and dry for Roots N Blues N BBQ. Mostly sunny conditions will remain for the entire weekend. Nights will drop into the lower 50s Saturday night with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s with mostly sunny skies. Summer-like weather returns next week as high temperatures climb into the low to mid 80s and nights warm into the lower 60s. At this time, there is no rain in the forecast through the middle of next week due to a ridge of high pressure building aloft. By Tuesday night on into Wednesday this ridge is expected to break down, allowing lower pressure to move in and bring showers and thunderstorms.
