Jefferson City woman arrested, suspected of hiding drugs in her pants

Jefferson City police arrested Danielle Scott after she was suspected taking drugs in her motel room.

According to the probable cause statement, police responded to the Budget Inn to locate a subject with an active felony warrant.

During the search, a officer saw Scott inject an unknown substance with a syringe into her arm.

Police said they knocked on the front door of Scott’s motel room, while one officer saw through a window pace the floor and step out of view. Scott reappeared and the officer saw what looked to be like Scott putting something down her pants.

Officers said when they entered the room, they searched the bathroom and found a syringe and small baggie in the sink.

Police said they arrested Scott.

While officers were talking with Scott, she admitted to smoking methamphetamine, but denied any knowledge of drugs or paraphernalia place on her person.

Police said they took Scott to the police department, where she was placed into an interview room.

Officers said they then retraced Scott’s steps, and found a plastic bag containing a white and brown colored substance lying on some stairs.

Police said they reviewed surveillance footage and saw Scott drop the bag as she was being escorted.

According to the probable cause statement, Scott later admitted to officers she was scared to hand the baggie to officers.

Scott was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
