A strong cold front to bring the return of fall
TODAY: We’re finally beginning to see a return to fall here in Mid-Missouri thanks to a passing cold front. This frontal boundary will bring the chance for isolated showers and storms through the day, but most locations will stay dry. Any rain we do see will amount to less than .25″. Winds will shift from the west to the northwest through the day allowing the cooler and drier air to filter into Mid-Missouri.
TONIGHT: Temperatures will drop cooler, back into the upper 50s, under mostly cloudy skies. Lingering showers are possible through the night, as the front continues to slowly track across the state. There will be a light breeze out of the north under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: A few stray showers are possible through early morning Wednesday, but most locations will likely stay on the dry side with mostly cloudy skies and cooler conditions. Highs will be back in the 70s and lows in the 50s on Wednesday night. The cooler, more seasonal weather will last through the end of the week and weekend with daytime highs in the low to mid 70s and nights in the upper 40s and lower 50s. It looks dry through the weekend. Watch ABC17 News for the latest forecast and follow ABC17 Stormtrack on Twitter for updates.
