I-70 improvement project continues; MoDOT crews to close westbound ramps at Routes O and J

Missouri Department of Transportation crews plan to close the I-70 westbound exit and entrance ramps to Exit 117, routes O and J, Monday night.

The road closure starts at 7 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m. Tuesday. MoDOT crews will be repairing pavement, repairing or replacing guardrails and resurfacing the road.

Drivers will have to take alternate routes if they want to head toward Rocheport from routes J or O or exit I-70 at those routes coming from Columbia.

Alternate routes include taking Exit 121, or Midway, to Highway 40 or Highway UU; and taking the exit at Rocheport to either Old Rocheport Road or Roby Farm Road to Sinking Creek Road.

The ramp closure is only expected to last one night.

The road work is a part of the I-70 Rocheport to Lake of the Woods improvement project, which is expected to be completed in April 2018.
