One killed in crash on Route D in Miller County

UPDATE 2: The driver of the vehicle failed to yield to an oncoming motorcycle when taking a left turn. The motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle, according to the online crash report.

The driver of the motorcycle, Lester Hutcherson, 53, was pronounced at the scene by a Miller County Coroner.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol this is Troop F’s seventh fatality in September and 40th of the year.

UPDATE 1: Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms the crash was between a motorcycle and a commercial motor vehicle.

ORIGINAL: The Miller County Sheriffs Department posted on social media Friday they responded to a fatality crash on Route D at Oakbend Road.

Deputies said the road was closed while first responders worked the crash.

Deputies said the road reopened later Friday afternoon.
