UPDATE: Driver identified in trailer home crash

UPDATE: 9:15 a.m.: The Boone County Sheriff’s Department identified the driver as Brooke Elam, 19, from Columbia.

According to deputies, Elam ran over the 26-year-old male victim after a “disturbance.” Investigators are still trying to figure out what exactly led up to the crash.

There was no update on the victim’s current condition, however deputies said he was unconscious when medics took him to the hospital.

UPDATE: The Boone County Sheriff’s Department confirmed one person had been arrested following the crash, but would not say if it was the driver of the vehicle or not.

The condition of the person hit is currently unknown.

ORIGINAL: One person was rushed to the hospital and a trailer home was damaged after being hit by a car Thursday night.

It happened after 10 p.m. at the Woodstock Mobile Home Park in southeast Columbia.

Emergency responders said the driver of the vehicle walked away from the scene of the crash.

An overhang car park and car were also damaged from the vehicle.
