Summer-like weather stays for the first day of fall

TODAY: Temperatures will top out in the lower 90s this afternoon under mostly sunny skies. Thanks to the humidity, we will be feeling more like the mid to upper 90s with winds out of the south up to 10 mph. It will be a warm evening for SportsZone Football Friday with temperatures in the 80s throughout the game.

TONIGHT: We’ll have another mild and muggy night with lows only dropping into the upper 60s under mostly clear skies. There will be a light southerly breeze under 7 mph.

EXTENDED: The humidity will be slightly lower this weekend but it will still be hot as high temperatures reach 90-92 both Saturday and Sunday with plenty of sunshine. The Mizzou football game will be another hot one as temperatures remain in the mid 80s for kickoff, remaining warm and dry throughout the entire game. Heading into the work week, Monday will still be hot with high temperatures in the upper 80s. There is a chance of thunderstorms Monday mainly west of HWY 63 with the chance increasing Monday night into Tuesday as a strong cold front moves through. We could see lingering showers into Wednesday as the front exits to the southeast. This will drop temperatures into the lower 80s Tuesday and mid to upper 70s Wednesday, with nights cooling into the 50s. The cooler weather will last through the end of next week and weekend.
