Storm chance tonight, hot and humid through the weekend

TONIGHT: There’s a chance we could see isolated storms as a slow moving cold front arrives from the northwest. A strong storm with gusty winds and small hail is possible. The bulk of the activity should stay north of Mid-Missouri, but isolated storms are possible north of I-70. Winds tonight will be out of the south under 10 mph.

THURSDAY: We’ll have another hot, humid day with high temperatures in the lower 90s and heat indices reaching the upper 90s in the afternoon. Winds will come in from the south at 8-15 mph.

EXTENDED: The heat and humidity will stay with us into the weekend with high temperatures near 90 and heat indices in the upper 90s to near 100 under partly cloudy skies.Nights will stay in the upper 60s to near 70. Our next chance of t-storms comes next Monday and Tuesday as a cold front moves in, bringing temperatures down into the mid to upper 80s early next week.
